So, if you’re curious about how to turn your love for Pinterest into some extra pocket money or even a full time income, keep reading!

Why is Pinterest such a great tool to use to make money?

Pinterest is like having a big virtual bulletin board where you can pin all the things you like – like cool recipes, fun crafts, or ideas for decorating your room.

But Pinterest is more than just a place to save pretty pictures. It’s actually a super cool tool that helps you discover new things you love, just by looking at pictures!

Now, let’s talk about who uses Pinterest and why it’s so awesome.

Lots of different people use Pinterest, from kids to grown-ups. But did you know that most Pinterest users are adults, especially women? They use Pinterest to find ideas for cooking, home decor, fashion, crafting and lots more.

It’s like having a big library of ideas right at your fingertips!

What makes Pinterest really special is how different it is from other social media sites. On Facebook or Instagram, you mostly see posts from people you know. But on Pinterest, you can find ideas from people all over the world!

Plus, Pinterest is all about pictures. That means you can find new things you love just by looking at cool pictures. And because Pinterest is so focused on pictures, it’s a great place to make money too!

Imagine this: You love baking cookies, and you share a picture of your delicious cookies on Pinterest. Someone sees your picture, thinks your cookies look amazing, and clicks on your picture to find out how to make them. They might end up buying your cookie recipe or even some baking supplies you recommend.

That’s how you can make money with Pinterest – just by sharing pictures of the things you love! Cool, right?

Now let’s get to all the ways you can actually use pinterest to make money:

The 4 Best Ways you can use Pinterest to make money

Number 4 is the way that I make the most money with.

    1. Affiliate Marketing

Share products or services you love through affiliate links, and earn a commission for every sale made through your unique link.

Affiliate Marketing is like being a helpful friend who recommends cool stuff to others.

Here’s how Affiliate Marketing works on Pinterest:

Imagine you find a really awesome recipe for homemade cookies and you want to share it with your friends. Instead of just telling them about it, you can create a special pin on Pinterest with a picture of the cookies and a link to the recipe. If your friends click on the link and end up buying something from the website where the recipe is, you can earn a little bit of money for helping to make the sale happen. Pretty neat, right?

Now, when it comes to choosing which products to promote as an affiliate on Pinterest, it’s important to pick things that you genuinely like and think others will love too.

For example, if you’re really into art, you might choose to promote art supplies or online art classes. Or if you’re a big fan of cooking, you could promote kitchen gadgets or cooking subscription boxes. The key is to choose products that match your interests and the interests of your Pinterest followers.

Once you’ve picked the perfect products to promote, it’s time to create some awesome affiliate pins.

Remember, Pinterest is all about eye-catching visuals!

So, make sure your pins are bright, colorful, and attention-grabbing. Use high-quality images and clear text to tell people what the product is and why they should check it out. And don’t forget to include your affiliate link so you can get credit for any sales that come from your pin.

There are loads of affiliate marketing opportunities out there, probably the easiest one to start with is Amazon Associates.

I use Pinterest to drive traffic to my blog where I write informative articles like for example: How to make money baking cakes. Then I link to some of the items a person may need to start baking cakes. If someone clicks on the link and buys it, I get a small commission at no extra cost to the person. I do my best to really help people out with the right information that they are looking for.

    2. Selling Physical or Digital Products

Create and sell your own physical or digital products, such as handmade crafts, artwork, printables, or e-books, by promoting them on Pinterest.

Design and sell printable planners, templates, worksheets, or organizational tools, and promote them on Pinterest to reach a wider audience.

I do this by selling printables on Etsy. The digital products I create and sell are: school classroom decor printables and savings trackers. I post my products on Pinterest with a link to the product on my Etsy store. Works great to drive traffic and sales to my Etsy store.

Here are a few ideas for Digital products that you can create and sell:

    1. Printable Planners and Organizers: Daily, weekly, or monthly planners, calendars, to-do lists, goal trackers, meal planners, budget planners, and productivity planners.
    2. Digital Artwork and Prints: Illustrations, paintings, graphic designs, digital drawings, printable wall art, posters, and quote prints.
    3. Digital Invitations and Stationery: Customizable invitations, party decorations, greeting cards, thank-you notes, wedding stationery, and event signage.
    4. Printable Worksheets and Educational Resources: Worksheets, workbooks, activity sheets, learning games, flashcards, educational posters, and teaching materials for various subjects and age groups.
    5. Digital Scrapbooking Kits: Digital papers, embellishments, clipart, stickers, and templates for scrapbooking and digital crafting projects.
    6. E-books and Digital Guides: How-to guides, recipe books, e-courses, tutorials, travel guides, self-help books, and informational e-books on various topics.
    7. Digital Patterns and Templates: Sewing patterns, knitting patterns, crochet patterns, quilt patterns, embroidery designs, and templates for DIY projects and crafts.
    8. Printable Party Decorations: Party banners, cupcake toppers, favor tags, party games, photo booth props, and themed decorations for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, and holidays.
    9. Digital Fonts and Graphics: Handwritten fonts, brush lettering, calligraphy, graphic design elements, SVG files, clipart, and digital illustrations for creative projects.
    10. Social Media Templates: Instagram templates, Pinterest pins, Facebook covers, Twitter headers, social media post templates, and customizable graphics for digital marketing and branding.

    3. Promoting Services

Advertise your skills or services, such as graphic design, photography, consulting, or coaching, by showcasing your work and expertise on Pinterest.

Use Pinterest to showcase your portfolio or samples of your work, and attract freelance opportunities, such as graphic design, social media management, writing, or virtual assistance.

    4. Driving traffic to your Blog or Website

This is in my opinion the BEST way to make money with Pinterest.

Start a blog and use Pinterest to drive traffic to your blog, website, or online store, where you can monetize through ads, sponsored content, product sales, or affiliate marketing.

Pinterest is one of my main sources of traffic to my blog.

Here’s how it works: You create cool stuff on your website, like blog posts about your favorite hobbies or recipes for yummy snacks.

Then, you make special pins on Pinterest to show off your awesome stuff. When people see your pins and click on them, they’ll be whisked away to your website to check out what you have to offer.

Now, if you want to make sure your Pinterest traffic turns into money, there are a few things you can do to make it happen.

First, you’ll want to make sure your blog posts are super easy to find and read. Use clear titles and headings so people know what your post is about right away. And make sure your posts are easy to read on phones and tablets, since lots of people use those to browse the internet these days.

Next, you’ll want to make sure your posts have something cool to offer people.

Maybe it’s a helpful tip, a fun story, or a freebie they can download. Whatever it is, make sure it’s something people will want to click on and learn more about.

And finally, don’t forget to include links to other parts of your website in your posts. That way, if people like what they see, they can keep exploring and maybe even buy something from you.

When you have a few blog posts published and you are ready for readers, you can monetize your blog with ads.

This means that you can make money simply by people clicking on your pin on Pinterest and coming to your blog to read your article.

Join an ad network like: Adsense, Ezoic, Mediavine or Raptive.

    I suggest starting with Adsense.

I remember when the first ads started showing on my blog from Adsense. I made 4 cents, and I was over the moon!

My family didn’t understand at all. How could I be this excited about 4 cents?

But, this first 4 cents was my proof that I can make money with something I created online.

That’s all I needed to know – that it was possible!

Today, I am so happy that I stuck with it.

    So go ahead:

    • Create a blog
    • Post pins to Pinterest with eye catching images that link to your blog posts
    • People click on the pin and go to your blog
    • They read your article, and maybe click around and read some more or maybe download a free printable.
    • Ads are shown in between your content.
    • You earn Money

Here’s my little equation on how to make money with Pinterest and a blog:

Blog posts + Ads + Pins on Pinterest + Traffic from Pinterest = Money

More blog posts + More Pins + More Traffic = More Money

And remember, making money with Pinterest is all about dedication and creativity.

It might take some time to see results, but if you stick with it and keep posting, you can definitely make it happen.

The best time to start your blog was yesterday, the next best time to start is right now. Tomorrow you will be glad you did.
